We decided to spend our anniversary in Napa and booked a small group tour with Platypus to get exposure to wineries we may otherwise have not visited. James was our guide and did an awesome job bringing the group together, keeping us on time and exposing us to great wineries like Swanson, Silenas, and Razi that we may have other missed. He also gave us a lot of great insights about the valley and it's evolution along the way. We enjoyed our tour so much that we are looking to bring several friend and book another with James as our guide!

Happy anniversary; I'm so glad James was able to help make it really memorable! Our guides dearly love little hideaway wineries like those you mentioned, and I guess you can see why. Of course, we'd be thrilled to have you and your friends back for another tour. You could even book a private tour and pick your own wineries (be sure to request James as your guide, and if he's available to work that day, we'll be happy to assign him to your tour. Absolutely loved are tour hosted by James. It was informative and funny, the wineries that we visited were all excellent and the lunch was superb. I would recommend getting a bottle of wine to enjoy with lunch. Excellent value for money and would happily do it again.

This was a great solution to the whole "too many wineries, too little time" dilemma. I was overwhelmed and stressed when trying to decide which places to visit during our one day in Napa. I just left it in the hands of Platypus Tours and figured they could shoulder the blame if my husband didn't like the wineries! Well, we had a GREAT time and had some amazing wines. Louis was the perfect host, giving great information and reminding us to drink our water.

Cheers, Robin; thanks for posting! There are indeed a great many wineries in this area, and I can totally understand how visitors get overwhelmed by trying to nagivate their selections. However, what lots of wineries means to us is lots of option for making our tours interesting and memorable, and also that wineries vie for our visits, digging deeper for those value-added experiences that really make the tour day pop. Luis is a master at managing these winery relationships and getting the best for his guests every day. I'm so glad you loved it!
