With five of us, it was cheaper to hire a private guide to take us where we wanted (rather than join a pre-packaged group tour). We wanted to see some of wine country. We wanted to have great tasting locations. We wanted lovely outdoor seating with great views. We were able to work with Platypus to customized our tour to reach our goals and we got exactly what we asked for.

Thanks for your comments, MK! We're happy to do private tours any day, and they can indeed be a better value, depending on how many guests in your party, how many hours you want to tour, and a couple of other factors. You're also right that we can customize these tours to your preferences (specific wineries, particular experiences, remote pick-up locations, etc.) I'm very glad you, your girlfriend and your companions really enjoyed your private tour with us!

The trip allows you to have a good understanding of what is Napa Valley about. The guide (Sarah) was very interactive and client friendly. The choice of 4 vineyards is special, you may like it or not, we liked 3 out of 4. The choice of wines was great, the information you get depends on how many questions you ask. Generally a good choice when you want to have a Napa experience in one day.
