1
Jackson Square
Our tour starts in the heart of old New Orleans, at Jackson Square where the city was founded nearly 400 years ago and today remains the cultural center of this eclectic and uniquely American destination.
2
French Market
Some of our favorite places in cities are their public markets, and New Orleans is no exception with incredible food and art jumbled together in the eclectic center - explore away!
3
Old Ursuline Convent Museum
While currently closed due to the pandemic, you'll peak through the iron gateway to see the oldest building in the city - built by the French king - and home for centuries to cloistered nuns.
4
Beauregard-Keyes House
Just across the street is the Beauregard-Keyes House, one of the best preserved examples of 1800s architecture in the city.
5
Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar
We could spend the entire tour talking about this one area. First, as one of the oldest structures remaining in New Orleans, this epitomizes "Creole Cottages" and as one of the oldest structures remaining in New Orleans, is rumored to be haunted several times over!
6
New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum
Voodoo is not about dolls and hexes. In fact, it is one of the oldest (and most misrepresented) spiritual beliefs in the world. Originated in Africa, the global diaspora of voodoo is complex and mystical.
7
Royal Street
The art and of New Orleans represent the agglomeration of cultures that influenced this part of America, from African sculpture to French Rococo - and the modern galleries along Royal Street are a feast for the eyes.
8
St. Louis Cathedral
We finish our tour back at the imposing cathedral of St. Louis, that has weathered hurricanes, battles, and scandal to remain a symbol of New Orleans, a great American city.

17
Lafitte's

When I purchased this I thought we would be listening to the information. Turns out you have to read it, kind of a pain when you’re traveling with others.

Thank you for the feedback. We are considering an audio option for our customers and have already added further clarity to our listing to make it easier to see that this is a 'read-aloud' tour to be enjoyed amongst small groups of family and friends.

We were so impressed with all the stops, but especially the French Market. There is so much to do in New Orleans, this tour actually helped us figure out other things to do during the weekend we were in the city. The friends I traveled with also liked it!
