We have done this before, but decided what the heck - we'll do it again. We purchased our tickets and boarded. The boats are located in the Fisherman Wharf Area. One then goes out on the water and the highlights are cruising past Alcatraz, a close up view of the Golden Gate Bridge, and also seeing the San Francisco Skyline.

The boat cruise was wonderful. Had limited time in the area and this was a great quick way to see the Golden Gate and bay. Head phones were great, very informative.

This cruise offers the unique opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of San Francisco Bay. Before you drive over the Golden Gate Bridge, cruise under it! Imagine sailors of the past entering this safe haven from the Pacific! The up close view of Alcatraz with commentary allowed us the opportunity to learn more about this prison without expending additional time that we did not have. The cruise was relaxing and interesting! Dolphins graced us with a visit on the bow wake. The cruise back toward San Fran offered an amazing view of the city. We booked the same day via our phone. Nice and easy!
