Going under the Golden Gate and around Alcatraz was interesting. Commentary was good except rude passengers were too loud! We would def do again!

It was super awesome to get out on the water and do this tour. The weather was foggy in some parts but it added to the experience and it made me appreciate the sun more when it would come out behind the clouds. It was a bit chilly and it was in mid July when we went, so make sure you prepare for that just in case! The top deck is best for views of course and if you’re cold, you’re going to want to be sitting inside (and who wants to miss out on the beautiful sights!?). We circled around Alcatraz and went under and around the Golden Gate Bridge. The “tour” wasn’t very guided but key points were mentioned during the trip. This was great because it wasn’t a distraction of constant talking over the loud speaker and we could all enjoy the upbeat music that was playing. Witnessed a couple and their proposal on board. Definitely a great setting with amazing views. Just a hint for those looking for a great and memorable spot. (She said YES!) There is a drink and snack bar with chips and candy (alcoholic beverages and non alcoholic were available). Decently priced too! We just got hot cocoa and coffee since it turned out being chilly and it was $2 each. They also were selling sweatshirts and blankets at the snack bar. The blanket is a decent size and $20. Great little travel blanket! Bathrooms were super clean!!!! BIG COMPLIMENTS HERE! I was pleasantly surprised. This is HUGE: Make sure you get there at least half an hour ahead of time. We ran into traffic trying to find parking close by and then had a hard time finding the pier at first so we missed our first trip. (I’m not new to the Wharf but I’m still a tourist from out of town and never paid attention to the Pier numbers)… However despite this, I contacted their support and spoke to someone at the ticket booth and we found out there was one last tour for the day. Since it was 1.5 hours and the one I booked first was just 1 hour, all I had to do was pay the difference. Customer service is nothing short of WONDERFUL. Thank you for your flexibility!!! Overall, my family and I had an amazing time and I wish we did this tour sooner! Definitely worth adding to your to-do list when visiting SF. Don’t think about it, just DO IT!

Although it was cold we enjoyed it very much. We got really excited when we went under the bridge and got a very close look at the bridge. It was worth seeing/experiencing for the price. Also, the trip around Alcatraz Federal prison was amazing as well!
