The entrance of SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is located on the Main Concourse Level of Manhattan’s Grand Central Terminal, inside Vanderbilt Passage.

All SUMMIT tickets are timed. You MUST arrive at your scheduled time, which is indicated on your ticket. SUMMIT operates at full capacity. You might not be able to get in if arriving more than 20 minutes after the time indicated on your ticket.

Any late arrival is subject to availability and a rescheduling fee

Dress appropriately to avoid unwanted exposure on glass and mirrored floors. We recommend wearing pants, shorts or tights when possible.
Wear comfortable shoes. Stiletto heels, steel toe boots, sports cleats and other footwear that can damage mirrored flooring are not permitted.
Outside food and beverage, smoking or e-cigarettes, large packages, suitcases, or weapons of any kind will not be permitted beyond the security checkpoint.
There is no storage for person items. Large bags, large backpacks and luggage are not permitted.

Even with tickets at a certain time, the lines to get in are long and hard on young children (bring a book, toy, conversation cards or something to pass the time). Be nice to those poor staff getting everyone through the time- they have a tough job and were actually very kind and patient. Don't get stuck spending a lot of time vying for space to take a photo along the windows on the first floor, as you have three floors of windows, where you can take your time to get a great shot. The bubble room is so completely packed that it's a bit difficult to get a good photo. The views were outstanding, though, and glass floor area was well run - everyone gets 30 seconds to take photos - and really great fun! The staff helping you chose and print the photos at the end were also outstandingly friendly and helpful!

I visited today October 28, 2024 at 18:30 with my wife and two children 10 and 11. The beautiful tranquil sensory experience was utterly ruined in the Levitation room by two female staff who were constantly shouting at everyone in the line for over 20 minutes. The calming music was barely audible in this room and their behaviour was so excessive, inappropriate and unnecessary that I felt compelled to write to you with this feedback.

We recently visited Summit One Vanderbilt, and it was a remarkable experience! The mirrored floors and ceilings, along with the immersive soundscape, created a truly surreal environment. The views over New York City were breathtaking—especially seeing iconic landmarks like the Chrysler Building and unique angles of the Empire State Building. The bubble room was a highlight, offering loads of fun for both kids and adults. And the final part of the experience—standing on a glass ledge over 1,100 feet up—was both thrilling and a bit nerve-wracking, with views straight down that really made your stomach drop! There’s also an outdoor section at the top, which adds to the adventure. Overall, it was an incredible experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting New York City!
