The entrance of SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is located on the Main Concourse Level of Manhattan’s Grand Central Terminal, inside Vanderbilt Passage.

All SUMMIT tickets are timed. You MUST arrive at your scheduled time, which is indicated on your ticket. SUMMIT operates at full capacity. You might not be able to get in if arriving more than 20 minutes after the time indicated on your ticket.

Any late arrival is subject to availability and a rescheduling fee

Dress appropriately to avoid unwanted exposure on glass and mirrored floors. We recommend wearing pants, shorts or tights when possible.
Wear comfortable shoes. Stiletto heels, steel toe boots, sports cleats and other footwear that can damage mirrored flooring are not permitted.
Outside food and beverage, smoking or e-cigarettes, large packages, suitcases, or weapons of any kind will not be permitted beyond the security checkpoint.
There is no storage for person items. Large bags, large backpacks and luggage are not permitted.

Came here following a reccomendation from someone who had been many times before. Paid extra for sunset view but that was ruined by huge thunderstorm (not the fault of the venue) and watching the storm come in was pretty amazing anyway. Seems like quite a busy attraction and you have to queue for a bit to get in through security and then again queue for the lifts. Staff generally managed it quite well but when you get up top, people are definitely trying to queue jump in places and there is no supervision for those areas. The outdoor glass lifts were closed due to the storm and not sure we would have gone on these anyway. Views were amazing and drinks were good too. Not as expensive as I thought they would be given the location. Bar area for drinks and food is waaaayyy too small for the number of people passing through, especially as many people have a drink included in their ticket. The drinks are done on a numbering system but people with higher numbers than me seemed to get served ahead of me, which was odd. The mirrored floor and ceiling section won't be for everyone. The first 'Art' exhibit was some shiny things on the floor that reminded me of when the T1000 reformed in Terminator 2. But I didn't really get why they were displayed up the top of a high building. The view from the windows was better. The floaty helium silver balloons were different, but again, didn't understand what it had to do with the height of the building. People are only meant to stay for 90 minutes but often we couldn't often get to a good view of the city because teenagers were all over the place sat against the windows playing on their phones. And this was literally on all 3 floors. Very odd how this is allowed. People have paid to see the view but its very hard to do this because dozens of lone teens would rather play on their phones than appreciate what someone has probably paid a lot of money for. Couldn't they go somewhere else and do this? Myabe provide some sofas away from the window for them? Would definitely go again and try and find a less busy time and maybe a slot when the weather is better.

The experience was great fun ,well organized and the booking process simple. Despite the fact that there were long queues they moved quickly.

I took my Grand Daughter and we had an amazing experience at the Summit. The view of New York from that height was breathtaking. She really enjoyed the silver balls .
