The whole experience is very classy and modern. It takes a little while to get started because you queue through quite a few checks at the start, but that’s fine. It’s amazing how fast the escalator was to get us up there and you nearly feel it move. The views are spectacular and it is perfectly situated in Manhattan to get the best views in each direction (amazing views of the Chrysler and the Empire State Buildings particularly).
The glass viewing room is awesome, apart from the windows everything is glass so you are in an infinite area of views and people which is a very cool experience. Spend ages here as it is a one way system and once you go up the escalator you cannot go back down.
The bubble room was fun and you can get some good pics there, however I was there with a 5 year old and when a balloon popped he panicked and we had to leave.
We didn’t purchase any, but the food and drink at the top looked and smelled really good, I can imagine a glass of champagne at the top is a great experience.
We went in the glass lift at the end, yes the view is amazing, but only a little higher than you already are. I’m glad I did the glass elevator, but not sure it was worth another $20.
Tips: bring sunglasses (it’s super bright because of the mirrors), wear flats because you have to put on shoe covers. Children 5 and under go free.
