Adventure with us as we watch the sunset and paddle through a
peaceful cove at Grapevine Lake. Soak in nature as the sun sets and
the sky turns pink and orange reflecting on the calm waters. We'll be on the lookout for wildlife along the way. Once the sun goes down we'll light up the night with our LED lights.

What a great way to spend an evening! Brought my husband, sister, and brother-in-law. We all found it relaxing and fun! Would go back with my kids! The scenery was beautiful, the kayaks were fun, and Walker, our guide, was adorable!

The good was that the booking online service was great (but they charge an "online service fee"), they sent the liability waiver ahead of time for all members in your party and they sent an email confirmation with the details (time, location, what to bring ect). The views as the sun set was also pretty and that helped cool things down. We also saw deer, beavers and some birds. The kayaks are easy to carry and they give you a lifejacket and an optional dry bag/water bottle. And the lights on the kayak were fun ( you can pick your own colors) Then that is about it for the good. The guides were ready on time which I appreciated but we did have to wait for two people which was annoying (I received multiple reminders as well as a recommendation to be at least 15 min early!) As soon as we hit the water I was expecting to go to the "nearby wandering creek" which not only did we not go to but was never mentioned by our guides. It is noted online that "Our knowledgeable guides will skillfully navigate the journey". What journey, they were not very engaging and then we also just never paddled as a group. There was no tour, or guidance or exploration involved. We were sent out and told to be within shouting distance and as soon as it got dark meant we were just stuck paddling in a smallish circle. It was basically a glorified floaty. Also since this is a public space there were plenty of boaters out so I hope you enjoyed the music that they were listening to. To top of the evening we ended the tour early, why? Great question. Oh and as you are leaving they tell you how to tip them in cash and where to put it. Pretty presumptuous if you ask me. I definitely would have rather paid to rent kayaks on my own somewhere for a fraction of the cost and have a much better time being out on the water and actually paddling! I am by no means a kayaking expert or junkie (although my partner is and I booked this as a surprise which is now an embarrassment I can't live down) I would not recommend and would not come back- at least not to this location. We left disappointed.

What a beautiful and peaceful experience! Starting with the sunset and ending with the full moon the night was filled with beauty. We even got to see some deer come to the lake for a drink of water. The light up kayaks were so cool too! Brian and Talia were helpful and so friendly and we enjoyed our discussions with them.
