Evening cruise at 6pm was a great quick way to see some unique views of Newport and the bay. The guide/narrator was especially fantastic and very funny with a wealth of knowledge. The other staff also provided excellent service. Guests were offered a selection of beer, wine, or frozen Del’s (included with ticket). Online said the boat can hold up to 50 passengers, but our tour had maybe 15-20. So it was not crowded, and there were lots of covered, comfortable seating options + seating on top deck. I’d recommend inquiring about specific sights before booking. The description for the tour we booked mentioned Castle Hill Lighthouse, but we did not see that. Their descriptions online may be more general for all their tours. We saw and learned about multiple mega-yachts (and their owners with recognizable names), New York Yacht Club, some historic properties including “Beacon Rock” (being renovated), Fort Adams, Rose Island + lighthouse, Goat Island + lighthouse. There was also a world championship race happening during our cruise, which was cool to see. Logistics: Check in: 30 mins before departure, but then you can walk around the wharf until 10 mins before departure. Weather: On hot days (90s), you could still consider a jacket, especially if it’s cloudy. Definitely bring a jacket if it’s cooler than that.
