Absolutely awful experience. Before being put into our kayaks and before booking, both website and tour guide, Alec, said no experience is needed and that is is a fun experience for all. As you can see in the pictures, Alex did not wait for us at all. I traveled with my partner and we both have no experience kayaking. They put us in the kayaks and left us behind just expecting us to catch up. My partner cannot swim, and having mentioned this prior to the booking time and during the booking time they did not seem to care. Trying to keep up and feel safe were both impossible. Alec barely talked about anything other than an oyster and bald eagle. Was not told about any wildlife that might be in the water and what we could see today. We were not told any past significance or anything related.
Being the only colored people on our trip, I feel as though maybe it was a sense of racism. I, Native American, and my boyfriend Hispanic were not well taken care of. Our tour guide Alex was so far away at all times that if anything bad were to happen or we flip, he would not of gotten to us in time. On the two times we managed to catch up to him, during the whole two hour trip, he would not repeat himself and instead glared at us like it was our fault and would continue on.
I would absolutely NOT recommend this place to any of my friends or family, or even a stranger. Trying to have a fun experience turned into constant worry and regret.
