We had a great time on our snowmobile tour! I booked us on one machine and we were able to switch riders halfway through the tour. For beginners, this was a great feature because my husband said he was quite tired toward the middle of the tour. Our Guide was very thorough in giving out instructions. She also made sure everyone was safe throughout the ride. She was friendly and helpful with all the picture taking! We had a small group (3 couples & guide), so we were a tight knit group. We were able to do a longer ride because everyone was on the same level - skill wise. Now, things to know when booking. Make sure you book directly with the company! I didn’t realize I had booked with a 3rd party site until I called them to ask questions about the helmets. Speaking of helmets, I was told the helmets had straps for GoPro cameras, but when we got there there weren’t any helmets available with that feature! Anyhow, we took the shuttle from Harrah’s. We parked in the back lot, so it was easy in and out. The price was $30 for the day. Do not go by the information online! It is outdated! Also, don’t use your gps! It doesn’t work well in the area. Anyhow, once we boarded the shuttle bus, we had two additional stops to pick up more people. After that, it was strait to the vendor’s base of operation. Once we got there, we completed waivers and got our helmets with face shields (they have both; with & without). We then boarded a 2nd shuttle bus that took us to the launch area (about 30 min. ride). Once we arrived, we were divided up into smaller groups and assigned to guides. The whole process was well-organized and worked smoothly. By the way, make sure you bring your own water because there aren’t any in the launch area. There are Porto potties, but no water. Anyhow, we had a great time and got to experience winter wonderland on a snowmobile!
