Rather a disastrous trail ride. we were 9 people including 2 kids (11 yrs), a teenager and adults. Most of us (including me, somebody who owns two horses and rides regularly) with riding experience. My husbands horse did not want to go down one of the steeper paths,,,, ended up bolting down off trail and throwing him. fortunately he could walk (tho painfully) and walked back the remaining 2-3 miles. Then, at end of ride within site of the end, a truck and trailer went over a "cattle guard" and made a significant amount of noise... All the horses bolted. My horse (I was close to the lead ) took off in a flat out gallop (I am an eventer and know what it is to gallop) and it took a lot to get him back. My daughter (also with riding experience) came off of her horse. The two eleven year olds sat tight and finally their horses came down. Rather disastrous as I said before. Was poorly organized. We started over a half hour late. The two "guides" were kind but inexperienced in how to control this kind of situation. there was no way to get my husband back other than to walk painfully after he had been thrown.....no plan B????? when we got to the end, nobody even asking if he or the other person who had come off at the end were ok!!! Nobody called the next day to see if he was ok? As an experienced rider, I considered this a poorly organized and irresponsible outfit. I do not recommend them for ride.

Thank you for your response. Our number one goal at Willow creek is to definitely keep our customer safe . Horses can be an unpredictable animal. We do apologize if the ride was not up to your expectations unfortunately, we cannot predict things that can happen on the trail. During our orientations, we tried to go over safety items to help prevent any mishaps that may happen on the trail thank you for joining us at Willow Creek Horseback Rides
