The 9/11 Ground Zero Walking Tour

Обзор
One of the most important historic days in our lifetime, the events of 9/11 have shaped who we are today. Come with us as we bring you into the story of the day, the tragic loss, the effort to move forward, and the resilience that has propelled the revitalization.

With sensitive care, the events of the day will be explored as you walk in the footsteps of the heroes, survivors, and victims. Along the way you will visit sites like Saint Paul's Chapel, The Oculus, the new World Trade Center site, and finally the official memorial grounds.

Your guide will share with you all the unique features and details to be found throughout the memorial, such as the Pools, FDNY Memorial Wall, The Sphere, The Glade, and finally the Survivor Tree.

We will deepen your experience by sharing the details you could easily miss on your own. The story of this day is about and for all of us. Sharing it together is how we can come to understand, grieve, honor, and ultimately find peace in loss and survival.

Jonathan deserves a pay rise. What a brilliant guide. He couldn’t have done this tour any better if he tried. Our group was mainly foreign visitors and a lot of teenagers (school holidays in Europe right now) who obviously weren’t alive when 9/11 happened. He pitched his “story” just right. It didn’t get boring and preachy for those of us who remember it quite well and not too heavy with details for those who knew very little. I liked the start a little bit away from Ground Zero where he set the scene, then past the miraculous little survivor church onto Ground Zero. He was exceptionally respectful of where we were, but still managed to work in some humour when it was appropriate, which I think was important for such an important historical site. I also loved how he wasn’t just telling the story of 9/11, but showed a breadth of knowledge, explaining the history of the area before 2001 to help put so many things into perspective and help us understand a lot more about the area. Thank you for a great tour. You’re a real gem.
