Robert Malissa is an award-winning, incredibly funny, laugh provoking, out-of-this -world, comedy magician with low self-esteem (who writes his own bios). He has a very warm style with the goal of sharing the joy inherent in a moment of magic.

Rob encourages participation and ensures that his volunteers and the rest of the audience have a great time.

He is the winner of the Philadelphia Houdini Award and a recipient of both stage and close-up magic awards from the Society of American Magicians.

The entire tour is between 1 to 1.5 hours. The walking time is approx. 1/2 hour. The rest of the time is standing, except for a few locations with some spots to sit.
In the summer, a water bottle is recommended.

Examples include; Watch a penny penetrate a glass bottle to honor the saying, "a penny saved, is a penny earned" Enjoy "Les Mis" the musical card trick, a song parody/magic trick Experience spirit writing at the alley, "Little Boy's Court"... and much, much, more! My sister and I went on the tour and really enjoyed ourselves. Despite being lifelong Philadelphians, we learned a lot and visited sites that can be missed on the standard visit to the historic section of the city. The magic was entertaining and engaging, and the magician did a great job of making the tricks relate to the sites we were visiting. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Highly recommended - educational and entertaining! We did the walk this past weekend with friends and were delighted. Walking through parts of Old City, Rob gave us a mix of historical colonial details not covered in the history books combined with funny insights and magic tricks all along the way. Rob's stories and magic are very engaging and he had us all leaning in to see what would happen next. Definitely worth a couple hours the next time you're in town.
