This was probably the best walking tour we have ever be on. The tour guide (Mike) transported us back in time, connecting the dots of the revolution in the most interesting and informative way. We highly recommend this Freedom Walk tour. The walking was easy and the four hours flew by. Definitely a “don’t miss” experience.

I went on this tour with my 11 year old son. We had a great time. Mike was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. He was engaging and made the tour more personal by assigning specific historical figures to the guests. My son was assigned Paul Revere. There was no pressure to participate, but it made it fun and funny. It really was easier to remember who each historical person was, what they had done, and this helped tie the history together. We traveled around Boston learning about events leading to the American Revolution in a way that helped to put the pieces of information together without just walking down the Freedom Trail seeing all of the sites--which anyone can do on their own. The stories/ antidotes that Mike shared really brought the story to life without being in a costume. He had wonderful maps and visual aids that added to the tour without being cheesy. Be prepared to walk, but it was never uncomfortable even for a person (like me) that does not like to work out. In addition to the historical parts of the tour, Mike also pointed out lots of the modern parts of Boston and great places to eat and try. We ran into other folks who took the same tour with us later in the day. We were all gushing about how good the tour was, and that it was worth it.
