Super nice guy that walked with us through part of the museum on a day we would not have been able to get tickets. Other than that, we were seriously disappointed. For example, we all arrived early, but rather than have us enter the head of the long line to save time, our guide waited until the line extended to the end of the building before telling us we should get in the line and then didn’t have our tickets ready. We then spent 45 mins of a 2-hour tour in the first room. Basic information was repeated. We heard the same personal history of our guide a half dozen times. We all agreed that we learned nothing new during this tour and missed seeing at least two thirds of the museum. We were told there would be a “surprise” and with precious time remaining, we left the museum(!!) and walked a half mile to the NASA library. An okay extension if we would have actually seen the other two thirds of the museum. However, as nice and as knowledgeable as the NASA Librarian might be, we didn’t pay for a tour of the tiny library and “free” outdated posters.

We came to Washington D.C. last minute and wanted to see the Air and Space Museum. The free timed tickets were sold out for the entire weekend. We decided to book a semi private tour. Our tour guide Richard was wonderful, well versed in all aspects of the museum. He was funny, approachable and his stories were very fascinating. I am so glad we decided to pay for the tour. If you are so lucky to have Richard as your tour guide, you will not be disappointed.. I give this experience a 5 star.

Memorable experience we had was the sharing of special peace about Apollo 11 , Stars/ plants, and special people that were more important basis on sculptures in planes and gadgets! I had a fascinated time spent on each section of the air and space Museum. I would recommend Richard Robinson to anyone, willing to take their time and understand the creativity of each artifact know to man and knowing NASA.
