Stratosphere Tower

At the north end of the Las Vegas Strip stands one of the most iconic landmarks in Las Vegas — Stratosphere Tower. With your ticket, head up to the 1,149-foot Observation Deck, the second-tallest freestanding observation tower in the western hemisphere. Once you have made your way up more than 100 flights in the high-speed elevator, you can check out both the indoor and outdoor decks. The indoor deck features angled windows and air-conditioning while the outdoor deck allows you scan the city through viewfinders or take a walk around the tower. This is where you will get the most unobstructed views of Las Vegas Valley below you. When you're ready for a cocktail, head to the Air Bar, the highest bar in Las Vegas. (Food and drinks are at your own expense.)

This place was very relaxing with beautiful views. My son enjoyed the ride. Customer service was amazing from vallet, ticket desk, elevator person all the way up to the top.

I found the experience underwhelming. The ticket to ride the elevator to the observation tix was around $25 + tax, which I think is a bit high. the rides were not operating at the time we were there but for an additional $5 or so, you could get ticket to the top AND a ride. That might be worth doing, but I don't know. The surroundings themselves were fairly nice. You can get a drink (booze or a slushy-type drink without the booze available) and sit in modern seating to take in the view. In the midday when we went, the view was nice but not stunning. My guess is it might be a lot more "wow" at night with all of the lights of the city and the Strip.

Sadly the did not notify us that skyjump was closed, which they could have easily done with text notification. Instead we spent two hours getting there, then waiting in a huge line to get to the observation deck, which was very crowded. The view was good; but not worth the time it took out of our last night in Vegas.
