To start with we were put on 4 different tables before they finally decided on the table reserved for us with my name on the sign. Every time we got settled, napkins on our laps, eyes eagerly searching for our waitperson to get some drinks (at least water) in the muggy heat we had to up and move. Appetizers were watermelon, pineapple, (coals in Newcastle sort of) bit of cheese with nothing to cut it with and a glass of non alcoholic fizz.Then 5 very plain salad leaves with a mist of dressing put on the plate first - bit dry. My dinner was ok; small but pretty, oddly very mild Maine lobster, then small but great filet steak with 1/3 C.mashed spuds, 3 sticks of hard veg closing with an unknown flavor mousse thing. Basic mass catering. My friend is vegetarian and had a horrible experience. Same appetizer and salad but the fish course was soggy sliced courgette/zucchini and a murky looking cheese blob, main was a single tomato filled with completely dry fried rice on a drizzle of gastrique ending with a sad, tasteless sorbet. She honestly didn't know what flavor it was. The entire experience left her confused and starving. On the positive side our waitperson was fabulous and the entertainment was really good. I'm not happy I paid just over $400 for this event.
