This museum is just G-R-E-A-T! My son loves the Titanic and the history around it, so we decided to go to Pigeon Forge to visit this museum. We just loved it and we consider one of the best museum we have ever been. The museum is full of history, curiosities, and display of all sorts related to the Titanic. As you move through the museum, you will watch a presentation of violin players, you can feel the cold weather and the water the people had to stand when the ship sunk and you can meet the Captain telling stories. When you get in, you receive a boarding pass with the name of a real person that was in the Titanic and at the end you find out whether or not the person survived or died. It is an incredible museum, outstanding, very distinct from all other museums we have been. Do not miss it if you go to Pigeon Forge or if you like the Titanic. Just one advice, buy tickets ahead because it is crowded and you might get there and the museum be sold out for the day! Other than that, this museum is just awesome!

The self-guided tour through this majestic ship using a cell phone type of equipment given at the door help you navigate the tour. There are staff members along the way to assist and give additional information. Actual relics, a man who actually explored the location of the Titanic under the ocean discusses his adventure to the deep. This museum is very educational. The famous staircase was absolutely beautiful! (Find someone ahead of time to take your picture, as staff are not allowed to take pictures for you). Feeling the water gives you a sense of what was endured by the passengers, crew, and, yes, even 10 dogs that were on the ship that fateful night. Many experiences take you to that night including parts of flooring you can elect to try out to give you the feeling of the pitch of the ship at different stages of its 2.5 hour sinking. Hear recorded accounts from actual survivors, some hands-on things for kids, and a large replica of the titanic in Legos built by a young boy diagnosed with Autism (very impressive). (You can look him up online “the Lego Boy”. The gift shop has many interesting items, very reasonably priced; you can find just about anything you may be looking for in there and it doesn’t break the bank. Highly recommended. I like to read EVERYTHING (lol) so it took me 2 hours. Otherwise, if you use the device to hear the recordings as you move through, you can navigate it in less than 1 hour. I loved getting the Boarding Pass in the beginning of the tour, reading about her, and looking for “my” name on the wall of passengers to determine if “I” survived or perished. Find discount coupons online. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I would take the tour again when we come back.

It’s an amazing museum. They give you cards in the beginning and the people are real people on the titanic. At the end you get to see if your person lived or died. I would do it again. One of the mail things is to be first or last. They only let the first 40 people in first because you get a recorder that you play as you go so you can hear facts and story behind the things you see. After 10 minutes they let the next group go. It is a self guided tour but if you first or last you wouldn’t have an issue. The in between you’re on top of each other and it is uncomfortable. We did speed through to get away from so many people so I would like to do it again but I want to be first or last.
