Not extremely strenuous, but note that much of the hike is uphill with some steeper downhill sections. Learn about some of the important historical figures of Resurrection Bay, the area’s role in World War II, and an understanding of the beautiful animals and plants that inhabit the trail system.

Our hike was guided by Dylan, who is a local and has good knowledge and experience about traversing the trails and survival skills including bears. The trail is a beautiful one and well forested and ends up in a gorgeous beach by the Bay overlooking tall Glacial mountains. It is fairly easy with a bit of elevation gain and descent to the beach and we could do it even though we are not experienced hikers. We had a great time with Dylan as he explained the flora and told us about his experience with fauna! Would love to do more hikes with him in the future!
