Во время нашей прогулки у нас будет пара остановочных пунктов, где мы пройдемся по веселой (НЕ СУХОЙ) истории и лакомым кусочкам самогоноварения и конечно же поговорим о том "как это делали старожилы".
Этот тур будет насыщен событиями на все 3 часа вашего пребывания со мной с целью попробовать разные вина и более 15 различных вкусов всех градаций и даже самогонного коктейля!

Michael and Jennifer are excellent tour guides who are very knowledgeable about Gatlinburg and each distillery on the tour. The tour itself is a blast. Each stop has around 13 tastings which are delicious and you truly get a behind the scenes look at how the moonshine is made. Just be sure to eat a big meal prior to the tour. Our group had never been to Gatlinburg, so this tour was an excellent way to get to know the city.

I had never been to Gatlinburg and wasn't sure what to expect. I also had never been on a moonshine tour so this was adventurous! I booked a tour with Michael and Jennifer because it seemed like a cool thing to do solo where I thought I would get a little history as well. I went alone but made some awesome friends along the way. Before the tour Michael gave instructions on what to bring, where to meet and other details of the tour. The tour starts out meeting in front of the Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery in the "Holler". We chatted a couple minutes introducing ourselves and then we were on to the first tasting. We started in the "still" and learned a little history of moonshine making. This was pretty interesting to see as I had only ever had illegal moonshine! Next we headed over to the tasting room. The group waited while Michael and Jennifer checked us in (about a minute as they skip the line). We were then served about a .25 oz of 12-15 different types of moonshine including a pickle! Some that are only available at that location. I had never had it so I appreciated the fact that the bartender gave a brief description of each before we tried them. We were able to pass if we didn't think we could handle it. He was very comical and made silly comments during the tasting which was very entertaining. When we were all finished we had the opportunity to shop (with a 10% discount) or use the restroom. Michael moved us along to make sure we got to see and do as much as we could in our short 3 hour tour. The next stop was the Old Smoky Whiskey Distillery referred to as the "Barrelhouse". This one was even better! We tried another 12-15 tastings but this time it was whiskey. Same sarcasm and explanation from the bartender and at the end he even gave us a couple extra tastings since we were a part of Michael and Jennifer's group. Again we got to shop and received 10% off plus whatever other deal they were offering. Our next and final stop was at Suglarlands Distilling Company. This is another barn-style distillery where we took a behind-the-scenes tour with Connie. He explained firsthand how they make their products. Over 20,000 jars a week! Everything is made right there. I was amazed at that. We actually first grabbed a drink in the back where they offer everything from bloody mary's to coffee drinks to other blended cocktails. There was live music and a great atmosphere to hang out at but Connie was waiting. He showed us everything in back and gave the history of the Sugarland name. Ask him how they picked it! He was a great addition to the tour. Reminds you of the guys on "moonshiners". After the tour we did the tasting, another 12-15 .25 oz pours of whiskey and moonshine. More shopping at discount and then another blended cocktail. Something I noticed about this tour was that our tour guides were not only knowledgeable but they seemed to cut the line everywhere, have little extras thrown our way and have tons of recommendations for other things to do in Gatlinburg. After the tour our group actually all went to eat at a Mexican place nearby. The name escapes me and I think it may have had to do with the amount of moonshine and whiskey I consumed. Bottom line: Book this tour!

I had loads of fun and learned about how moonshine is made right in downtown Gatlinburg. Mike and Jennifer really know and love the area, and it shows! As a travel agent, I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.
