The displays were amazing and had lots of information! We got lots of personal attention and really enjoyed all of the galleries.

This was my second time to visit this year. I brought my 7-year-old granddaughter, my daughter and a cousin. I still stand by my review in January 2022: "The building was beautiful and the floor plan perfect for a museum. The large variety of turquoise from around the world was impressive. The owner was knowledgeable and fun to chat with on the subject." In addition to the above comment, I want to add that Joe Dan, the curator, was fun to interactive with and was super sweet to my granddaughter. He let her hold a piece of turquoise that was valued at $37,000. When I asked her later about her favorite part of the weekend, she said it was the Turquoise Musem. Jacob, the director was in the gift shop that day. He was a lot of fun to talk too, and he his stories made us laugh.

When we first arrived the person who greeted us at the front desk was very kind, however we did not have the same experience with the curator. When he was bringing us to the actual museum (you enter through the gift shop) he responded quite disrespectfully to questions from another person in the group. There are QR codes throughout that were not as expected, they really did not offer much additional information. Also, in the museum there is so much information, the signs posted had too many words on them. The idea of the interactive portions was great (especially considering the long video about not being allowed to touch anything even though it is not being ropes) but many did not tell you if you were doing it correctly, which definitely took away from them. I would not likely recommend as a top place to see in Albuquerque.
