So before this excursion I had tried out snorkeling in Guam which was not a very good experience (antiseptic on gear that stung and tasted horrid). I was pretty apprehensive about snorkeling again but had to go as my 11 yo was just set on this. I was worried about visibility because I wear glasses and wasn't sure how to manage that as well.
I have to give it to this team, they made us feel safe from the beginning, and you could tell they were totally comfortable with each other and the boat. You leave all footwear at the dock just in case anyone is wondering whether to wear aquashoes or not. The gear was clean, and they had a variety of goggles for near-sighted humans like me. They had no-tear baby soap for antifog so nothing stung. They also explained everything to the passengers in small groups so that was reassuring as well.
Once we got to the snorkeling spot, they taught us how to move step by step. You are free to stay on board if you want. Even though we were the 7AM team, the water was warm. We met multiple schools of fish and around 10 turtles. I loved how the team made sure we kept our distance and did not threaten the majestic creatures. I would trust these people on any of their other excursions as well in the future.
Thank you Captain Liz, Hailey, Sophia, Ella, and Lila for the great experience!!!
