My friend and I did the Turtle Canyon snorkeling tour with Living Oceans in Waikiki and it was an incredible experience. Captain Kevin & crew Anabelle, Ava & Hailey were experienced, professional, friendly and extremely patient. I had been snorkeling once before but hadn’t really got the hang of it. On this tour a crew member coached me through proper mask fit and breathing technique. She was so patient and encouraging that I felt confident enough to make my way to the main group. The crew member stayed nearby and when I needed to briefly stop due to hyperventilation, she talked me through the episode. From there I had the most wonderful experience. Once you get the hang of it, snorkeling takes you into a beautiful underwater world. On this tour I was surrounded by the most colourful fish of varied sizes (captain Kevin could identify all of them) and swam near (but not dangerously close) gorgeous green turtles. If you appreciate marine life, I highly recommend this tour. I can’t thank the Living Oceans crew enough for this amazing, memorable tour.

There were too many people We kept getting hit and kicked by other people and we couldn’t enjoy. We ended up just going back to the boat.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations due to the crowding at Turtle Canyons. Because it’s such a popular spot where turtles are almost always present, there are often several companies there at the same time. While we do our best to guide our guests to less crowded areas, everyone naturally wants to see the turtles up close. We’d love to have you join us for our Deluxe Snorkel and Wildlife Cruise next time. That tour visits a more secluded reef where we’re the only boat, offering a more private and relaxed snorkeling experience. Mahalo for your feedback, and we hope to see you again soon!

It was the best time in Hawaii so far we had so much fun we could have stayed out there all day saw a lot of nice fish and some turtles
