We ended up going to wrong way around the loop of the park because the directions weren't clear enough for us on how to start the trip. We ended up not using the tour because everything was in reverse and we kept missing important sites. I did like the narrator's voice though.

Our tour route begins at the Visitor Center and then follows the Park Loop Road in a clockwise direction. It sounds like perhaps you were going counter-clockwise. (We don’t recommend that because the road eventually dead-ends and you’d have to backtrack). I’m not sure which direction point was missing though I’m happy to take another look if you could provide more details. Please email us. We’re available all day, every day over call, email, or chat. Looking forward to hearing back.

Good introduction to the park. We used it to get familiar with the park, returning the next day to spend longer time at areas we were more interested in further exploring. The offline feature worked very well

So glad you enjoyed the Acadia tour! Thanks so much for the review. I’d love to know what we can improve so that this becomes a five-star experience in the future! If you’re still in New England, we have similar self-guided tours for Boston, Cape Cod, and more. They’re available on our website. Hopefully, you get the chance to use some of these in the future!

We enjoyed the guided audio tour, that was (mostly) synched to the route of travel around the Acadia National Park on Mt. Desert Island, Bar Harbor, Maine. My partner is a techie and had many cuss words for getting the thing set up. Also there were places that though we followed the directions of how to set it up to synch so when there was poor coverage it would still come through, it was out of synch a couple of times. That aside, we both loved the narrator, who sounded for those who were in HS in the 1980's like Casey Kasem Radio Personality and Disc Jockey. The narrative was both informative and entertaining. We followed along happily and felt 100% thrilled with our listening experience and our learning experience traveling around Acadia National Park!!!! What a thrill! Do stop at the BEACH WALK and THUNDER HOLE, and do go to the top of CADILLAC MOUNTAIN, all are must dos. We will be going back this year in part because of this nice self guided audio tour.

Oh my gosh, you are not the first person to say our narrator sounds like Casey Kasem!! This is so funny. We’ll forward your review to him — I’m sure he’ll be thrilled. I’m thrilled to hear you enjoyed the tour and got to explore Acadia’s stunning features! The stops you’ve pointed out are our favorites as well. Getting set up — any areas that were particularly challenging? Was it due to the signal and wifi issues in Bar Harbor?
