Always enjoyed universal and the parks at Christmas. We booked a trip this year for our family and brought our toddler son who suffers from a severe medical condition that subjects him to random, violent, and explosive vomiting with little and usually no warning. Because of this we speak with team members before a show to sit at the end of an isle usually in the disability seating if available, in case we have a vomiting event we have to make a quick exit or avoid others when the vomiting occurs. When we were trying to see the 3:00pm showing of the Bourne Stunt-tacular on today, , I approached team members with our Attraction Assistance Pass and tried to explain the situation and was told to talk to the next person. The person was a woman at the computer right was the mini Cooper when was without question the worst I have ever dealt with at any park in my life, especially at Universal. I approached her with our AAS card and began to try and explain our situation but was told to “keep the line moving there’s no fast passes after this point”. I then tried to explain our situation further and made it known I wasn’t concerned about fast pass, I needed to make sure we could make a quick exit and get away from others if our son had a vomiting episode and was cut off again as I was told “if you want to leave the ride early then you can do that”. She was clearly more preoccupied with something else and wasn’t taking me seriously for whatever reason. Once we moved into the next prep area I see clear as day that there is a lane for disabled parties to enter the attraction first, which would have allowed us to take an end seat. We have 4 days worth of tickets and are staying on site at Dockside for our week on vacation, but I’d just as soon trade these tickets and nights for Disney if I could after this experience. I plan on contacting guest services and if Universal does nothing I will know they don’t take mishandling of disabilities seriously.

We had the express pass unlimited 2-park hopper, which is far superior to Disney, which is like planning a military campaign. However, it doesn't always help when a lot of the popular rides are continually out of service. I fell like I should get a partial refund for the tickets. My sister and I waited TWO HOURS in line for the Hagrid line and it broke down when we were about forty people away from riding. We were not offered a special fast pass, and were never able to get into it during our stay. Bothe the Hagrid and the VelociCoaster did not honor the express passes, so I never got on that one, either. The Rip Ride Rockit was closed because THEY DEORATE IT FOR CHRISTMAS AND JUST RUN THE CARS AROUND EMPTY. Really? I would also like to point out that they should improve the lighting on the stairs to the Mummy ride. I missed the top step before the landing and went down hard. You shouldn't need to have your phone on flashlight to get up the stairs! There was some good things: The other Harry Potter rides were all great. The Simpsons ride is hilarious! The Hogwarts Express is a cool way to get from park to park. The Mythos Restaurant in Island of Adventure was great. Its going to sound weird from and adult, but the Suess trolley train was nice, because you get a great view of the park. Getting up to the rides is a workout. All of the thrill rides have tons of steps. They do have a swap-out station for parents with kids too small to ride. I would like to crab about parents who come with stroller-age kids. WHY? It's not like they'll remember the visit and they were always parking the strollers in front of garbage cans, bathrooms, etc. Stay home until the kids are older!

We are local and have done all the Florida parks on annual passes throughout the years. My son made 51 inches so Universal's turn. Most everything is a screen which sure, they are Universal Studios, but my daughter was getting bored. She would ask what the next ride was and I would say "It's a simulator ride". Or even worse, it's the same simulator ride (Kong/FnF, Spiderman/Transformers). So Universal Studios is a very short day for us. As for IOA, Hagrid's was great, Velocicoaster I would rank 3 behind Iron Gwazi and Mako. Hulk was fun. Rapids ride is stupid, bring a full change of everything or plan to return to hotel afterwards. I never cared for the ones that just dump waterfalls on your end, lazy to me in the design. No fun if you will be the victim of wet or remain mostly dry. Other rides were not really memorable. Volcano Bay the water coaster is way overrated. We have been on several and this was by far the tamest. I asked my kids if they wanted to tap in before lunch and they did not want to bother. The drop slide was fun and super tall. The fast river was confusing. It would be great for one minute, then they seem to turn everything off where you had to walk to get anywhere. Finally, we did the Loews double up and had the express passes. This was so mismanaged. Sometimes you would go right on, and others the express line was actually longer than standby. ET in particular the express line was so long, they could not clear the line from the preshow area to the ride. They need to teach ride ops to monitor this and move the express as needed to make it worth the cost. They also need to at least offer a one time ride (like the Busch parks) for Hagrids and Velocicoater. Given the poor line management, it is unlikely I will waste more money on express passes over the next year. Staff was nice, no issues there. Food was typical theme park quality. Once our annual passes are up, my son will be 54" and we will return to the Busch Parks until Epic Universe opens at least, unless of course it is just more of the same endless sea of screen rides...
