Winter is the best time of year to view Yellowstone wolves. Our tour will focus on Yellowstone’s Lamar Valley, undoubtedly one of the best prime wildlife viewing spots in North America as it harbors impressive wolf packs, large herd os bison, elk, and moose.

In Dec through March Yellowstone wolves become highly viewable and often be seen challenging elk and Bison in Yellowstones famous Lamar Valley. In late Winter Yellowstone starts to comes to life as the temperature gets slightly warmer, the snow starts to melt, grizzly bears start to wake up from a long hibernation. March in Yellowstone is the best time of the season to view the parks population of grizzly bears fighting against wolves for dominance of food resources and attempt to take over the landscape.

This tour is led by a wildlife biologist that is a professional guide in Yellowstone National Park. Through out the day they will interpret the landscape and wildlife interactions. It will certainly be an unforgettable day!

This is the second time we’ve used Yellowstone Adventure Tours, once in the summer and this time a winter tour. I’ve been beyond impressed both times The guides are extremely knowledgeable and know just where to go. (Even though wildlife is unpredictable) For our winter tour, Andrea was our guide. He has a great personality and is fun to be around. Which makes a world of difference! His knowledge and expertise was impressive and my teenager enjoyed soaking everything in. The lunch was very good, so much better than just a basic sandwich. They also supply you with everything you could need for the day. They really are top notch.

I’ve been on guided tours in Yellowstone with several different companies now, and this one is by far the best. They go above and beyond to get you to the best locations & spots to view wildlife. I have been on 2 guided tours now with Andrea Baratte experiencing / photographing various wildlife & wolves. He’s extremely courteous & professional! Very knowledgeable, friendly and a fantastic overall guide. If you’re interested in having a truly wonderful Yellowstone wildlife experience in the park, definitely book a tour with these folks!

Excellent accommodations; James was fantastic! Our day started later than typical due to travel plans and James was extremely flexible. We spent the entire day at Yellowstone and saw an abundance of wildlife. Would highly recommend this tour!
