Enjoy the Boston's history, vibrant atmosphere and wonderful architecture on this 2-hr Guided Walking Tour of the Downtown Freedom Trail between Faneuil Hall and Boston Common and then travel on to Copley Square in Back Bay via Beacon Hill. The Downtown Boston portion of the popular Freedom Trail features many of the locations of historical significance to the United States including the Old State House, Old Granary Burial Ground, and the site of the Boston Massacre. We will then see where the Boston aristocracy lives on Beacon Hill on our way to the Boston Public Garden and see the Victorian brownstones in historic Back Bay. See the famous Cheers restaurant, Newbury Street and Commonwealth Avenue on our way to the Boston Marathon Finish Line. I was really looking forward to this tour, but the guide was a no-show. We and the other participants waited for 20 minutes past tour starting time and finally gave up. It was such a disappointment.

Had to give up $70 tickets due to the very unpredictable weather. Really wanted to go on the tour but on the morning of the tour the weather was to bad (40mph winds, rain and cold) to make getting sick from cold and wet not worth taking a chance. Guess that’s a part of being a senior but I wish they had a shorter cancellation time

We actually had no rain Thursday. It was windy, but everything was okay otherwise. In any case, we do our best to reschedule folks who do miss a tour but never did hear from you.

This was a highlight of our recent trip to Boston. So much to see! The walk was long so we split it into two days; one "south" of the river and the other "north" of the river. The really neat thing about this was that we could stop when needed to get some water or something to eat. Fair warning: the walk up the Bunker Hill Monument, especially towards the end of our second day of walking, was "more than" a bit tiring. :) If you do climb up this monument, be sure to give everyone a chance to look out the windows. Some of the folks up there decided to spend way too much time in front of the windows. :(
