Enjoy the Boston's history, vibrant atmosphere and wonderful architecture on this 2-hr Guided Walking Tour of the Downtown Freedom Trail between Faneuil Hall and Boston Common and then travel on to Copley Square in Back Bay via Beacon Hill. The Downtown Boston portion of the popular Freedom Trail features many of the locations of historical significance to the United States including the Old State House, Old Granary Burial Ground, and the site of the Boston Massacre. We will then see where the Boston aristocracy lives on Beacon Hill on our way to the Boston Public Garden and see the Victorian brownstones in historic Back Bay. See the famous Cheers restaurant, Newbury Street and Commonwealth Avenue on our way to the Boston Marathon Finish Line. Took this tour July 19, 2021. Alan was our guide. My husband and I enjoyed him very much; was quite knowledgeable about history and architecture. Found it very interesting and informative, even tho we used to live near the city and have walked these streets and I even did similar tours when my kids were in high school and I got to be a chaperone. There was a lot of information crammed in there but still,I think 2 hours is a good length; actually we started a little late, waiting for some people, but then he went over the time about 30 min. I'm not sure I could manage much more time than that. The size of the group was good, there were 16 adults (plus a toddler and an infant). Actually this was more like two tours in one; after an hour, I believe the group dropped down to 10 people. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this tour

We took the tour and enjoyed it very much. We had a couple of tour guides (Bailey and Crafty) and they were both excellent. Neither of them even mentioned gratuity, which then of course made me totally want to tip them. Wish we would have had the time to do it a second time.
