We were looking for a fun way to explore Buffalo with a large family group. The tour times for our preferred day were already full, but Mark worked with us and led us on a private waterfront tour working around our schedule on the next day. Mark met us promptly at the arranged location and got us fitted up on our rental bikes. He was very friendly and knowledgeable as he led us around the waterways of Buffalo. We stopped every so often to learn a little about the history of Buffalo and to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Mark was good about answering questions and talking about our specific areas of interest. We definitely saw a part of Buffalo that many visitors don't get to enjoy.
Specific details: The tour did not include the Canalside area, but since we were a group of 10 on bikes, that was probably for the best. Also, a few of us hadn't been on bikes in years, but that wasn't a problem at all. The path was mostly flat with just a couple of inclines that were easily walkable for those who needed it. A caveat: our only kids in the group were 10 and 11 years old, and we barely were able to find bikes that were small enough. If you have younger children, you'd want to ensure that smaller bikes were available.
We felt that the $40 price for a 2.5 hour tour was VERY worth the money and highly recommend this for a group. We especially liked being outdoors and active. We definitely worked up an appetite for the famous Buffalo wings!
