Breath taking views, whales, turtles and a seal. Guide was great. So much better than taking a gigantic boat to look at whales.

We've done guided trips many times before, however John Hess, our guide for this morning's kayak, is the best! He was genuine in his desire to ensure we had a safe and rewarding trip. John not only answered all our whale questions but also shared his knowledge of Hawaiian culture and wove it into our experience. He knew where whale activity was most likely to be, and was very savvy in using current and wind to position us for awesome views (humpback cow and newborn calf - WOW!). I highly recommend this tour, and go with John if you can.

It ended up only being me, my friend, and our guide Mark on our excursion. Mark was an excellent guide and we all had a lot of fun together. We got to see many whales, and had a few very close encounters which was absolutely awe-inspiring!! The views of the surrounding islands and Maui are so beautiful when you get out there. Mark kept us in good hands and made us feel safe out there. After whale watching we got to snorkel along the reef. We swam with a lot of turtles and even got to see a monk seal! Definitely recommend doing this. It was one of my highlights of the whole trip!
