We specialize in whale watching in small groups, 6 to 15 passengers total on our tours, This allows for a more personalized experience and why most people chose our tours over other competitors. Our vessels are 32 and "38 feet long" and 6 to 16 passengers, Our competitors are 38 feet with over 30 passengers. want to feel like sardines in a can or like cattle being herded together then our competitors are the choice for you. We provide Pickup and drop off from just outside the cruise ship facility. As a bounus we pick you up in one of our limousine.

Just the best personal experience we could have imagined. Note that this excursion is for groups 6 or smaller. From the limo ride from the meeting point to the dock, then the cruise out to the bay and all the wildlife we experienced, Dennis will try his best to find you what Alaska is famous for. We saw eagles, sea lions, a bear and a group of 4 humpback whales feeding, all in around 3 hours. And if you’re extra lucky maybe Tiny, the Whale Watching Wonder Pup will come along. All for less than what the other excursions charge. The only drawback is you’re nervous about being on a small boat this may not be the best fit, the boat is about a 20 footer. The good thing for everyone else is you have total access to walk all around the boat to enjoy wherever the viewing is best. We were out with another boat with over 100 on board, no going easily from one side to other if the wildlife action changes, which it will. For reference my wife and I are in mid-60’s from midwest. First time cruisers. If we ever get back to Alaska we’d definitely do this with Catch of the Day again. When the whales break the surface in their synchronized feeding pattern is a real magical moment of nature.

Thank you for the great review, Our vessel is not a 49 footer caring 49 passengers, It is actually 32 feet long and carries 6. We hope to see again in the future.

Best excursion ever. We have been whale watching in Iceland, Hawaii and the east coast and nothing compared to this trip. Captain Dennis of “Catch of the Day” gave us an unbelievable experience. We followed a pod of 5 whales and watched them bubble-feed three different times, once right beside the boat (check out the picture). We also saw them breach in sequence, all five of them. The best part is he will only take six passengers even though his boat is big enough to handle a much larger group. Captain Dennis grew up on these waters and knows the area well, so I would definitely recommend “Catch of the Day” over all the other choices. Enjoy your trip.

I heard the JAWS theme song as those whale came up behind the boat, It was a great whale watching experience.

We saw 2 whales in the morning feeding and one whale feeding about a 15 minute boat ride out. The scenery is majestic and the whales were awesome.
