The White Salmon River tumbles and charges its way down a narrow basalt canyon. The rapids are big and bouncy with many large waves and powerful holes. With rapids like Maytag, Corner Cave, Grasshoper, Siwash, Corkscrew, Waterspout, Stairstep, Highway Hole, Rattlesnake and Deadmans’ Corner (and many more), thrillseekers love this trip. This is an eight-mile trip with the first five miles consisting of continuous class III+ and IV rapids.

Adams combined with the immense aquifers in the area, keep the White Salmon bubbling all summer long. The river cuts its way through one of the most beautiful, constricted, and heavily forested gorges in the area. The water is gin-clear, the weather is fabulous and rapids are big and numerous; making the White Salmon River one of the most exciting half-day or full-day river rafting trips in the west!

Aaron (Tennessee) was amazing! I am not a swimmer but he made me feel incredibly safe. This was a huge step for me I'm not the adventurous type. Aaron's knowledge and skills on the river made it an awesome experience. Everyone was terrific. Thanks again, I will be recommending you guys to all my friends!

It was my sister and I's first time whitewater rafting so we were a little nervous to start. Once we walked into River Drifters office that all changed. Every employee is extremely genuine and immediately puts you at ease. Not only do they teach you all the safety measures and basics but also some cool tricks too. Our guide Larry had over 30 years of experience being a guide and it definitely showed. Everyone in our raft was having a great time and the rafting in the White Salmon river was an amazing ride. I would highly recommend the River Drifters for first time rafters or experienced gurus, they adjust to whatever skill set you have. Thank you River Drifters for such a wonderful experience, it was truly the highlight of our trip!
