This was an awesome rafting trip. Beautiful views on the Nenana River right along the edge of the national park! We weren’t originally planning this, but the national park was temporarily closed due to the Riley fire, so our Tundra Wilderness bus tour was cancelled. The whitewater rafting ended up being a major highlight of the entire trip! Our guide, Sam, was phenomenal and really great with kids. The wildnerness wave option is more of a float trip with occasional rapids (their other canyon trip is more intense but our kids weren’t old enough) but was a fantastic experience nonetheless. We still got thoroughly splashed! The dry suits were a lifesaver as the water is REALLY cold!!

The high energy staff made for a terrific experience in Denali. They were friendly and fun — very competent and reassuring, and created a fantastic afternoon for everyone from our 14 year old to our 82 year old. The trip was gorgeous with amazing scenery and the right amount of thrills. Our teenagers would have preferred the more adventurous version — if you are looking for rapids, choose the canyon tour — but this was fun for the whole family. Maddie was a terrific guide.

Such a great time. Amazing scenery. Our guide Beau was knowledgeable and entertaining yet knew when to just sit back and let us enjoy. Would totally do it again.
