This is the most popular Rocky Mountain National Park tour modified for winter. The glory of winter in Estes Park showcases tremendous photo opportunities. During the beautiful winter months, we take you through the lower portion of the park and up Trail Ridge Road as high as possible. Along the way, you will go sledding, you will see and have the chance to walk to a roaring (or icy) waterfall and walk around a lake with stunning views, and diverse wildlife surrounding you.

Our custom tour vehicles offer unparalleled views and photo opportunities with crystal clear Lexan windows on all sides, even the roof! We use the best quality winter tires on our 4-wheel drive trucks with safety in mind. Also, for your comfort, blankets and even a powerful heater are on board in our fully enclosed convertible tour truck. Your knowledgeable and entertaining guide will offer fun historical facts and photography assistance, as well as hot cocoa, water, and snacks along the way.

We went on a tour of the Rocky Mountain National Park with Josh of the Wildside 4 X 4 Tours in Estes Park. It was everything we wanted it to be. We saw Elk and Mule Eared Deer, the wonderful views of the awesome Rockies, and learned a lot of interesting things about the mountains, rocks, trees, and animals. We went sledding and walked on a frozen lake. Josh went way out of his way to ensure our safety while on the tour, and ensured that we had the time of our lives. Thank you Josh and the Wildside 4 X 4 Tour Company.

This tour was fantastic! Our guide, Dan, was super knowledgeable about many subjects and answered any and all of our questions. We got to explore our adventurous side and hike a short bit to see a waterfall and even visit the frozen Sprague Lake! Snacks and bathroom break were provided along with two songs to make you feel like the main character of your own mountain trip! But don’t be fooled, the entire ride consisted of up-to-date information of every landmark along the way. I now believe I could fully teach someone some of the cool things we learned. Couldn’t have asked for a better group, I appreciate this company so much and will be returning!
