This is the most popular Rocky Mountain National Park tour modified for winter. The glory of winter in Estes Park showcases tremendous photo opportunities. During the beautiful winter months, we take you through the lower portion of the park and up Trail Ridge Road as high as possible. Along the way, you will go sledding, you will see and have the chance to walk to a roaring (or icy) waterfall and walk around a lake with stunning views, and diverse wildlife surrounding you.

One of our experienced and talented guides will meet you at our office in one of our custom tour vehicles. From there we will make our way to the Rocky Mountain National Park where we will provide you with the history of the National Park, go over types of flora and fauna that call this area home, and take some time to enjoy the beautiful scenery. We also provide water, hot cocoa, and snacks to make your time with us as enjoyable as possible.

I can't begin to explain what an amazing trip we had on the Wildside's winter photography tour. To begin with, the moment we arrived our tour guide Dan welcomed us in and introduced himself along with handshakes and a desire to know our names. Once inside we were met with more kindness and the check-in process was so super smooth. Dan escorted us to our jeep and gave a detailed introduction to the vehicle, seatbelts and seating arrangements. He was super professional, I cannot say enough good things about him. Our tour was one in a million. Dan was an amazing tour guide and gave so much information about the area, animals, best places to go, and the geological parts of the park. My family are huge history and geo fans and each person learned so much! The jeep inside was warm and super comfy. You can see clearly out of the vehicle from all sides. We went sledding for a short time and had a great time but the best part was being able to walk in Sprague lake which was frozen over. We took tons of great pictures while thoroughly enjoying every part of the tour. We were the first group out and I think we were the last group back. Dan curtailed the trip to our interests and I'm sure even got home a bit later then usual (thank you to Dans family). This is by far the most beautiful, interactive, and interesting tour we have ever been on. Thanks Dan and Wildside!

This was the highlight of our trip to Colorado! Jon was knowledgeable, fun, engaging, and energetic. We traveled around different parts of the park, saw some elk, hiked to a waterfall, learned about trees and nature, went sledding, visited a frozen lake, and even had hot chocolate! The vehicle was warm and comfortable. I would highly recommend Jon and this tour. We are looking forward to returning!

Jon did an awesome job teaching my kids about the history and environment of RMNP. He kept it fun and exciting, and his hot chocolate is better than the Ghirardelli hot chocolate we got in town the day before. Definitely recommend!
