Of all of the things that we did while we were in Alaska this ATV adventure was truly my most favorite memory. My husband, me and our two best friends (ages 56-62) took the morning ATV morning adventure on June 16th. All of the young guides were absolutely adorable!! They were incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic and super fun to visit with one-on-one. I ended up being placed as the first rider behind our leader. I had to force myself not freak out about this arrangement. There were a couple of times in the very beginning that I got really scared trying to keep up with the rocky terrain at such a fast pace. It suddenly dawned on me the majesty of God’s work that I was being blessed to experience, then tears started pouring from my eyes. Quickly afterwards, I got scared that I was going to tip over trying to keep up with the leader. I made myself go into an angry mindset of all of the things that I’ve overcome this past year… Breast cancer, contracting COVID, continuing to teach during a really weird time, the Texas Ice Storm, etc. I was able to fiercely tear up those rocky trails as a STRONG woman and loved every minute of it! OMG!!!
