Cypress Island is unique among the hundreds of amazing islands here in the San Juan archipelago. It is one of the crown-jewels of the San Juan Islands National Monument. Over 90% of this large island has been set aside as a Conservation Area and a Natural Area Preserve. Due to the protected status, there is an abundance of wildlife surrounding the island. Miles of trails are available to explore, some leading to stunning overlooks and others lead to private coves with pebble beaches.

Few commercial companies venture to Cypress Island due to the challenges of where they operate from. Anacortes Kayak Tours is perfectly situated to enable them to escort a lucky few people to the "last best place" in the San Juan Islands.

No ferry hassles are necessary to join this trip. You can drive right to us on Fidalgo Island due to bridges that connect us to the mainland. Make the most of your valuable time and join us!

Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Travelers over 265 pounds in weight, or over 6 feet 5 inches in height may not be comfortable in our kayaks. Please call if you have questions. Thank you!
We will be carrying all of our equipment in the kayaks, therefore if traveling with children we ask that there is one adult per child. We can make special arrangements occasionally, please call.
This trip is conducted in tandem (2 person) kayaks. Singles are available for an additional fee of $50/day. Must be reserved in advance, and participants must be at least 18 years old.
Please consult with your physician if you have serious medical conditions.

My sister and I had a fantastic weekend trip with Anacortes Kayak Tours. Our guide, Katie, was wonderful! She made us comfortable immediately and was so friendly and helpful! The trip was exciting and relaxing by turns and we loved Cypress Island! I would not hesitate to recommend this company and this trip to everyone and anyone! Can't wait to do it again!

Wow! We had the most amazing time with Anacortes Kayak Tours on our 2 night/3 day trip to Cypress Island! Everyone was so amazing but especially our guide Ian, he was professional, fun, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. Not to mention the food was amazing! We highly recommend this company, we look forward to doing one of their bioluminescence tours in the future and will for sure send our friends there. Don't miss out on this amazing trip!
