Too expensive for what it offers. Everything that we did were FREE! So, this price is just for the bus, guide tour and hotel. The guide tour was great, but the tour itself wasn't that good. The lunch stop in Philadelphia is bad!!! Expensive, not really good food and dirty. The tour in Amish Country is interesting, but very quick and shallow. The place where we stopped to browse some amish goods did not have truly amish things. I saw a lot of decoration stuff that you can buy at Bed Bath and Beyond. The hotel in Washington DC is ok, but the location is bad!! We had to call an Uber to have dinner in a nice place close to the monuments. Gladly, we called a very nice uber driver that took us to the monuments and waited for us while we were taking some pictures. Therefore, I should say that this tour could add a night tour to the monuments, because they are beautiful when illuminated at night. Unfortunately, the next day in Washington DC was rainny, and we had to do two stops before we went somewhere that we could buy a poncho or umbrella. What I mean is...we got soaked! This tour could be prepared for a rainny day and offer some ponchos for the passengers. Try to find a cheaper price and then it will worth the money.
A must take trip. This trip had a lot packed into it. What a very enjoyable trip. Jonathan was our tour guide. He was awesome. He was so friendly and knowledgeable it was so memorable reliving the history that Jonathan shared with us. It brought back memories from school way back when. Jonathan answered every question usually about history that was asked. Philadelphia was so neat all the historical documents, the Liberty Bell and its history, we all climbed Rocky stairs and of coarse had a Philly cheese steak. This trip was never boring, the large bus was very comfortable and we stopped enough times to get off the bus to eat, visit site and for bathroom breaks. Comfortable shoes are a must. Jonathan had this big blue and white umbrella so that we knew where he was at all times in case some one wonder from the group. Philadelphia was nice also, we went to an Amish Village shopped then rode in a horse driven buggy driven by the Amish. I really liked the buggy ride. Onto Washington were we stayed at a comfortable hotel. the breakfast I think was just for us. It was not just a high carb breakfast. It had every kind of breakfast food. I was really impressed with breakfast.
I was really looking forward to the Arlington Cemetery visit and I was not disappointed. The walk to see the Changing of the Guards at Arlington were a little bit challenging for some because it was a bit long and up hill, but I walk every day so it was no problem. My son keep teasing me about all the people that I was walking faster than. The walk was at your own pace so there was no pressure. When we were almost back in NY Jonathan played New York New York for us. It made me smile.
I highly recommend this trip it was fun and never boring.
Interesting tour with informative guides. Journey was good with great planning of stops. Excellent hotel included.
