The guide took us on a very pleasant trip down a beautiful forested stream full of wildlife. We saw ospreys, kites, alligators, hawks, an owl, heron, and more. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. We went in March and we were treated with a gorgeously breezy but sunny day. The river was just a few miles down the road from Orange Lake Resort but once we started paddling, it felt like we were in another world. I highly recommend this trip. You can also rent the kayaks without the guide but they knows just where to look for the wildlife. By the way, the river is calm and kayaking is easy to pick up quickly. This is a good place to begin.
