Got very sick the morning of the dive and was denied any opportunity for a refund, even partial. It would not have been safe to dive but had to pay anyway. No dive computers are offered for this dive, a lot of educational briefing even when certified - not worth the money.

I want to start by saying this is the first time we have ever had a complaint about educating divers.
It does not matter how long you have been diving there is always more to learn and we will always be the shop that teaches and help people become better divers and more importantly ocean advocates!
Furthermore, when you decide to book through TripAdvisor/Viator they are the ones you need to contact about a refund, which has a 24 hour cancellation policy (ours is 48 hours). We always provide refunds with a doctor’s note.
Regarding yours dives: 1. Because Maui’s reef along our shallow shoreline, on a typical dive we do not dive deeper than 40 feet, therefore no dive computer is required. All our computers are wrist computers (not console ones), and are always provided on request.
We would like to add that the snarky remarks about having a young divemaster is quite rude. A guides age is irrelevant to their ability to guide (traveling around the world you will commonly fine your guides to be younger). The guide you are referring to we trained personally and has been diving with us for more than a year. He has more experience than many other guides on this island. It is not appropriate to make judgments on a guide’s abilities based on age. Age is not related to experience.
The other younger diver was a dive master in training so not a professional yet but regardless you would have extra help for no additional cost.
