Bicycle class with Debra was a fun experience and at the same time I learned some skills for safe bike riding in the city. Vegas traffic can be kind of intimidating but Deb has a safe and protected bike lane behind her house which is where we did some drills for skill development. And the views are great! Then the group hit the open road. Deb has excellent knowledge of the trails and bike routes in Henderson. There are some really nice trails if you know where to go, and she does.

David, the League of American Bicyclists has it down pat and I am their self-appointed ambassador of following the best practices versus just winging it and following the cyclist with the most expensive bike and flashy spandex. Its a pleasure to convey this wisdom to other cyclists who are ready to learn. You made me proud when you biked with us in the Henderson night parade with our bikes lighting up the night! Night biking visibility is actually part of the Smart Cycling course curriculum!
