Everyone needs to experience the monuments of DC at night because the perspective is very different especially at the Korean War Memorial and the MLK monument.
We had the best guide, Dwayne, who is a fountain of knowledge. He brings great energy and background to all things DC.
The tour does include quite a bit of walking so be prepared to on and off-board the coach at least five (5) times. The walking is not hard except for the steps up to Lincoln if you want to do that. Free bottles of water are included and there are restrooms along the way. The coach 'we were in, had the toilet in the back. Two thumbs up.
This time of year is perfect to visit DC. No big crowds on the evening tours which allows you to be more attuned to the symbolism of each place you visit. Look into the eyes of MLK. Deep,
Towards the end of the tour, Dwayne was speaking and there must have been two people talking to themselves. He stopped and said, "excuse me, is there something you want to say?". He had to stay it again before they got it. THANK YOU!!! Folks are so clueless and lacking respect for others these days. Your mother taught you well.
Our tour went until 10:45pm so be mindful of this. The drop off area is safe and the coach will stop and direct you to a cab stand if you need this.
Bring a granola bar with you because you may want a snack after all the walking.
Overall fantastic tour.
