Our tour guide Rich was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I highly recommend the three hour Entire Island tour to give a great overview of the island.

interesting tour, but missed the mark. What promised to be an informative and historical tour of MV turned out to be the celebrity house tour, Jaws film location spotty tour and Police Fire and EMS Station tour of MV. Yes we saw the whole island in 3 1/2 hours but after the sweet backroads tour of the Gingerbread houses it quickly turned into the houses of the rich and famous, past Presidents and wannabies. The celebrity tour was interrupted by commentary on the filming of the movie Jaws. I enjoyed the reference to Amity Island the first two or three times, but 2 hours later the continual references were detracting from the real meaning of the tour. Our driver/guide, Richard, was a retired EMS - thankyou, but the continual highlighting of Fire, Police and EMS Stations got a little boring and worthless. I did enjoy Richard's connection to the indigenous population of the island and would have loved to have heard more about their history on the island. It was also a little disappointing to have to listen to Richard's tale of who he met at MV's airport and it got very political when he started mentioning less desirable characters ( ie Harvey W). What had promised to be so interesting fell well short. We spoke to others on a different tour and they had a very different experience and commentary. Wish I had their experience. I guess it was the luck of the draw.

The tour was outstanding! Phil was born and grew up on the island. He offered so many inside stories and experiences as well as so many hidden facts about the island. Kept the tour so interesting and informative. We loved it! We only had 8 people on the tour in a bus that allegedly seats 12. Let's just say thank goodness it wasn't a full bus from a comfort standpoint. I am 6'-1" and did feel a bit cramped at times even with 8 people. Overall, though, we really enjoyed the tour and were so glad we took it
