The river was fun ! Great for beginners the river was smooth but did have spots of excitement . Our guide had limited experience but did a very good job. Parking is a little to be desired as it is mainly in wooded area. Drive a vehicle you don't mind getting dirty. Will go again after rafting a couple more rivers.

Our family's experience with Nantahala Outdoor Center's whitewater rafting and zip-lining tour in Bryson City, NC was nothing short of amazing. Every aspect of our day was impeccably organized, and the scenic beauty we were surrounded by made the whole experience even more memorable. I have to give a special mention to our whitewater rafting guide, whose expertise and demeanor set us at ease from the outset. I was initially quite nervous about the rafting part of our trip, but their thorough instructions, assurance, and evident passion for what they do quickly allayed my fears. The trip down the river was exhilarating and fun, and their knowledge of the river and its surrounds added an educational element to the adventure. Meanwhile, the zip-lining tour was an absolute hit with my husband and 14-year-old son. The guides here were equally proficient, assuring safety while keeping the excitement levels high. Soaring above the trees and taking in the breathtaking views of the North Carolina landscape was an experience we won't soon forget. Nantahala Outdoor Center has clearly put in the effort to create an experience that is as safe as it is exciting. Their ability to coordinate such a flawless day of back-to-back activities is commendable. Each part of our day flowed seamlessly into the next, allowing us to focus on enjoying the adventure. In conclusion, our day at Nantahala Outdoor Center was an unforgettable journey through some of the most stunning landscapes we've ever seen, guided by professionals who made us feel safe and welcome throughout. Our family spent the weekend in the beautiful Nantahala River Gorge. My husband and son enjoyed a 3-hour guided rafting trip and had a blast. The guide was very knowledgeable and capable. Meanwhile, I enjoyed relaxing by the river listening to the River Jam concert. We will definitely be back.
