We were able to see nearly all the monuments on our list! As a first-time visitor to D.C., I wanted to make sure I was able to see as many of the iconic monuments as possible. This 3-hour tour was perfect. The monuments at night are really magical. Our tour guide, Cassie, was very enthusiastic. She talked about the monuments, when they were erected, what the symbolism is, etc. We saw: Washington monument, WWII memorial, Korean War memorial, Lincoln memorial, Jefferson memorial, Vietnam War memorial, Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial, and the Capitol (from a distance). Because it was a smaller group (15 max, as I recall), hopping and off went really fast so we could spend more time milling around the attractions. There are potties at some of the attractions and we had time to use those as needed. Also, bottled water was included, but (PSA here), bring your own water bottle so you don't have to contribute to the plastic problem. We were fortunate to have a beautiful, not TOO hot evening which can be unusual for D.C. All in all, it was the perfect tour for a first-timer or even a 100th-timer. NEXT TIME, during the day. Oh, and don't forget to bring cash to tip the driver and the tour guide. One tip is fine - they share.
