I booked Santa Fe Painting Workshop for 13 people as a part of my Bachelorette trip. I was looking for a painting class that was not a paint and sip but something where we could learn to get more in touch with putting our feelings to canvas! Andrea and Pyara were absolutely amazing. We all came in with absolutely no experience with abstract art and they could not have been more gentle and kind in teaching us. The way the class was set up was perfect. It was just slow enough to not overwhelm, but there was enough space to have time with our thoughts and art. We learned how to build an abstract art piece, how to mix colors, the different kinds of perspectives that are present in abstract art, how to use 3D mediums, and even what to do when you are stuck. I learned so much I am actually excited to paint back home! Everyone loved the painting they created and it was so cool to see how different everyone's turned out. The studio is so cozy and located very centrally in Santa Fe. Andrea and Pyara also provided a cheese board, tea, coffee, and water which everyone was was commenting on how good the food was! This class is for everyone and anyone - I highly recommend you check out if in Santa Fe. It is the perfect group activity and unlike any art class I have ever done before!

My daughter and I took Andrea’s 2 hour private abstract acrylic workshop recently. We had a blast! Andrea taught us basic care and use of equipment, color theory and composition and then we played and explored and made lots of mistakes and she gave some suggestions. I have never painted and I felt free to try all kinds of ways to make the painting more interesting and the colors ‘pop’. Andrea makes a space safe for experimentation and is available during the session for as much assistance as a student asks for. When we were done, my daughter said ‘that was the most fun I‘ve had in a long time!’ I agreed, and now have signed up for more classes!

Our family painting class with Andrea was the highlight of our visit to Santa Fe! Andrea is incredibly talented (check out her gallery!), and it was really neat to learn different concepts and techniques, see how she applied them in her work, and then try them ourselves. Her studio space is beautiful, and you really get what you pay for with her individual instruction. Our group had one experienced little artist and two clueless adults, and all three of us left with a beautiful painting - currently displayed on my mantle!
