I enjoyed this portion of my visit more so than the Science Center side. The exhibits were well done and the variety of subjects was certainly welcome. It also doesn't hurt that it all resides in some nice architecture.

I've been visiting this wonderful museum since I was a child, too long ago. It still holds many delights. Dinosaurs, halls of mammals, urban wildlife displays, gems and a beautiful garden. The perfect spot to lose yourself, no matter what your age. I was lucky enough to have a bright blue dragonfly share my space as I contemplated a shady garden spot. I'm old enough to remember the famous mummy (it's now in storage) and the staff always smiles, because so many native Angelinos keep returning. Lots of construction going on, with stunning new expansion in the works, but the original entrance still welcomed visitors of many generations.

The museum was closed that day for unknown reasons. I can't get my money back and couldn't visit the museum.
