Museum of Illusions is an impressive destination where illusions can be optical, photographic or interactive:

Optical: bewildering images that play tricks on you, confusing your eyes and brain. These visual illusions are just a reminder that our senses are imperfect and our perception of the world is often distorted.

Photographic: illusions that can confuse your mind and create false perception and can be seen only through photos or pictures that visitor can take with his camera.

Interactive: illusions that can have the size of a “room” and can blow your mind. Visitors can enter, be part and interact with the exhibits.

Nice 1 hour interactive activity to get out of the heat and have a little fun. You need to spend time reading the signage to understand the optical illusions or get directions on how to take the best photos within the illusion setup. Went with seniors and teens, no young kids in our group. The staff was really helpful and floated around to help guests in the various displays. I think admission was a bit pricey even with Florida resident rates.

Very small area, so on a the busy day we went, it was so crowded. Staff was very kind. The exhibits were lacking excitement, though for the cost.

If you're already familiar with visual illusions (perhaps from school textbooks or your own personal interest), there's nothing new here. This museum is one floor and you loop around a not very large space; thank goodness they use timed entry! It only took my group of 3 adults 40 minutes to see everything. For the reading you need to do, and that you need to stand back a bit from certain pieces to see the illusion, there just isn't enough space to not be on top of other people. There's also a bit of touching things to prove to yourself that an illusion exists. So, if you've issues with sharing germs with strangers, this is not the place to go. Several illusions are best seen through a camera, so there's several fun pics to share online and provide free advertising for the museum. Overall, I wasn't impressed, but enjoyed the expensive air conditioning and playing a few games.
